Purpose and Authority:

The Practice Recruitment and Retention Standing Committee (PRRSC) will deal with issues around practice recruitment, consistency in recruitment practices and retention of practices.  Communications will be developed for recruited practices and provided either directly by the Standing Committee or through the regional networks on an ongoing basis. Best practices regarding practice recruitment and retention will be documented and distributed to regional networks and national minimum recruitment requirements will be developed.  The PRRSC will liaise with the Research Standing Committee regularly to ensure practice recruitment and communication is meeting the needs of the research streams on an ongoing basis and with the Data Management Committee regularly to ensure surveillance issues such as representativeness and sampling methods are being met.
